It was sad yet interesting to see the recent disastrous failure over the proposed 1% increase in the sales tax. Even those opposed to the tax began believing that 1% was the same as a penny. There is a tremendous difference between a penny and 1%. A penny is a penny, 1% is 1% and 1% would total hundreds of dollars for every tax payer.
It reminds me of the spin on abortion, remember when they said It isn't really a baby, it's a glob of tissue, a product of conception, or a fetus. The nonsensical reasoning was call it anything but what it really is, the murder of a child! The avoidance of the truth about abortion has led Erie County to the sad state of affairs it is in today, causing the unnecessary lay off of thousands of jobs (reportedly 2,500)
They simply are blinded to the truth!
Between 1972 and 1987 Erie County has destroyed more than 280,174 babies. This figure doesn't include those murdered from 1988 to the present. By using 1987 as a base, every child aborted would be at least eighteen years old today. If 50% of those children as adults had only I child, a conservative total of live births would be 420,248 sacrificed to
abortion. That's a staggering 420,248 more consumers, 420, 248 more people working and paying taxes. Considering the cost of the abortions and transportation services to the clinics paid for by Medicare it becomes crystal clear why Erie County is in financial trouble.
They wouldn't need to raise taxes!
Erie county wouldn't need to raise taxes, they could decrease them. Remember the admonition of Jesus in Luke 6:39 And He also spoke a parable to them: "A blind man cannot guide a blind man, can he? Will they not both fall into a pit? Erie county, New York State and the federal government are doing exactly that, being led by a blind pro-choice movement that is leading blind politicians. They are booth about to fall into the pit of their own making, and we are all paying the price.
Thank God we are not blind, and have seen the light..
